cupcake bracelet

I had so much fun with this project! I bought the 7gypsies bracelet kit from StarLitStudio several months ago. I actually got three, and all of them have been sitting in their packages waiting to be altered! With StampMania last weekend, I decided to pull one out and make myself something cute to wear. All images from justjohanna.

It took me a little while to decide which images to use. Do I make it a chicklet bracelet? Do I make it a cupcake bracelet? Then it hit me! Make it a cupcake chicklet bracelet!

I stamped the images on WW with Palette Noir Black ink, taking care to ink up less and less of the cupcake each time. Then I stamped the chicklet on the same piece of WW. Next I colored in the images using SU! markers and Prismacolors. I used a black fine tip marker to draw the bite marks for the eaten cupcakes. I then used my snap stamps to stamp “yum” above the chicklet. I didn’t like my writing, and wanted an expression above the image.

Next I punched them out with a 3/4″ circle punch from SU! Adhered the circles to the blanks and covered them with the page pebbles provided.

This was a really quick and very cute project to do. You do need a good pair of pliers to pinch the links closed when building your bracelet.

Hope you’re having a fun Saturday!
