a shark for bug

A couple of weeks ago my friend Denier’s son had a birthday and turned five. His nickname is Bug – short for Snuggle Bug – and he’s just a special little guy. I wanted to make him a card and since he loves sharks, I wanted to use that for my focal image. Unfortunately, I have zero shark stamps or shark anything. So I ended up searching on-line for shark photos and drew the focal image for this card.

I used a Micron Pigma pen and was pleased to discover that they are waterproof (which I would have known right away if I read the label – Duh!). I used reinkers to watercolor in the image. I used SU! cardstock in Real Red and Brilliant Blue. I also used the Headline Alphabet and It’s Your Birthday stamp sets for the embellishments.

It was fun to have Denier and Bug over this past Friday to visit the chickens, and my boys were excited to give him his card and gift – a shark beanie baby.

I ended up getting invaded by the ants two more times and had the sides of the house sprayed (but not where the chickens are). That seems to have worked and I was able to put all my food back in the cupboard. Those lousy ants even got into my freezer. Hope you all had a better weekend that me, cleaning up ants! 😆

At least it’s not a goblin shark for bug. Although… that might be cool.
