what movie?

Late at night, I get these funny ideas. This is another movie inspired card. The first movie inspired card I did was this Candy Cane Forest one. Once I got my new chicklet images I had the thought for this card right away. I hesitated on making it because it was so close to Easter, and this is not an Easter card.

I got this awesome paper at a local scrapbook store. It’s by American Crafts and great for cardmaking. One side is patterned and the other is the matching solid. I got several different designs in several different colors. Love them!

All images from justjohanna.

I stamped the chicklet and bunny ears chicklet images with Palette Noir Black on WW. They were colored in with Prismacolors and I used a black marker to pen in the ground. I LOVE the “oh poop” saying from justjohanna, and stamped it above the bunny ears chicklet.

I then simply matted the focal image and used my wide scallop scissors for the decorative edge. I then used my white gel pen to accent the scallops and for the dotted line on the card base. I used my horizontal slot punch and added the sheer white polka dot ribbon I got from StarLitStudio. The focal image is popped up with dimensionals and then stickles were added to the bunny ears and tail.

So tell me, do you know what movie inspired this card?

ETA: Yes! It’s Bridget Jones’ Diary!

I caught the movie when we used to have DirecTV, so it was edited for TV. Karen knows I don’t watch rated R movies, so I really threw her off! *evils* I thought that was a cute movie, a modern Pride & Prejudice type of movie. Unfortunately my TV edited version of it is long gone since I didn’t tape it before the TiVo unit went away. Can you say “Oh poop!”

Jessica (jessrose21) email me your address and I’ll send you some fun justjohanna stamped images to play with!

Thanks for being good sports!

    Bird on a Wire??

    Oh!oh!oh!
Monsters Inc.!! was it before or after the movie, maybe in the credits, where ALL those birds are in the telephone wire, and they are swinging up and down and one bird goes flying off!! (well, something like that!!!)

  3. Ha — too funny (and cute!) Emily! NO clue about the movie . . . I don’t think I’ve seen an adult (rephrase: non-Disney or animated movie) in about 7-1/2 years. Can you relate? 😀

How about Chicken run? Didn’t some of the hens try to escape dressed in some kind of costumes???? I really have no idea by the stamps are chicklets so chickens make sense to me. If I’m right, do I get a prize? Like maybe you could mail me some cupcakes- better send them priority mail!

  5. Adorable card…love the colors and your bunny-chick is just too cute!

Not sure about the movie, though the Chicken Run guess sounds promising, but the card is really very cute! Have to get me some of that paper!

not sure either, but that bunny chick sure is cute!

  8. Oh, oh! *waving hand wildly* Is is Bridget Jones’ Diary? I’m thinking of the scene where she comes to a party dressed as a Playboy bunny of some sort, but no one else is dressed up! Cute card!

OK. I’m pretty sure it’s *not* Bridge Jones…it’s rated R. 😉 But I have no clue. If no one gets it, do I get cupcakes for knowing you don’t watch R-rated movies?
