cupcake birthday

I’m not that thrilled with the way this photo turned out, but the colors on the card are spot on. That orange really is THAT orange! Hahaha! I think it’s time to start begging for new photo software, I can’t stand how dark the background is. All images by justjohanna.

Card base is WW, I cut it a little longer. I think I cut it at 6 1/2 instead of 5 1/2, then it was scored at 4 1/4 and folded. The patterned paper is called Puffs by Cactus Pink. I love this paper! I just think it’s so fun — I gotta get some more of this one! I did a simple Faux Stitched border at the top then set aside. Next I just used the flip side of the patterned paper, which is the orange, and adhered it to the top of the card. Then I layered the Faux Stitched panel and adhered it to the bottom of the card.

I then stamped the Cupcake Row image on WW, and then stamped the Happy Birthday greeting under them. I colored the images in with my Prismacolors then used my SU! ticket corner punch. The focal image was then matted on Old Olive. To finish the focal image, I added the cherry stems with a blackmarker, added some fun Queen & Co. brads in matching colors, “iced” the cupcakes with Stickles, and then accented the corners with my white gel pen. I then tied some matching orange ribbon around the card before adhering the focal image with Dimensionals.

I hope you all have a fun weekend! I’m keeping it low key and plan on going to Cheesecake Factory with my brother tonight while Don takes the boys on a Father and Son outing with our church. They’ll be camping and my brother, Levi, and I will be having cheesecake and playing some video games! We got Viva Pinata yesterday and I want to make the best garden! Hahahaha!
