I made this card a couple of months back and forgot I had it on my desktop waiting to be shared. All images from justjohanna. I just love the Chicklets from justjohanna! They are just a lot of fun for me to work with.

Card base is Tempting Turquoise. I masked the top half and stamped the mini cupcake image in Tempting Turquoise for a tone on tone pattern, then set aside.

For the focal image I stamped the sentiment with Palette Noir Black on WW. Then I turned the mini cupcake image upside down and carefully inked up all but a portion of the image, then stamped it. Then I stamped the chicklet left image next to the cupcake. I colored the images in with Prismacolors using Gamsol and a blending stump. I wanted it to look like the chicklet was indulging in a dream sized cupcake, so I drew the jagged bite out of the cupcake after coloring the image in. I then added a few crumbs and a short line for a table top to ground the image. Doodling and Stickles finished off the focal image.

I then used my Ticket Corner Punch and matted it on Tempting Turquoise. Used the Ticket Corner Punch again and matted that on Basic Black. Turquoise brads were added to the corners to bring color on to the black matt. Ribbon was tied around the card, covering the seam between the masked and unmasked part of the card base, and the completed focal image was adhered to the card with dimensionals.

It’s now the home stretch for SoCal StampMania, and I’m busy getting projects done for that. StampMania is a shoebox swap event that I help coordinate every year with my friends Joy and Jami. This is our fourth year coordinating it, and our biggest turn out yet at 115! I can’t wait for next Saturday, it’s sure to be a blast!

So I may be missing a few days of posting while I’m getting the finishing touches on my part completed. I’m also getting to go on a quick trip to Vegas with Don next week. And as chance would have it, two of my Brothers-In-Law with their wives will be there, too. One of them being my Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law who live in El Paso now. Needless to say, I’m excited to get to sneak in a trip and see them without the long drive to Texas. Hehe!
