Another ATC, they are addicting! *wink* All images are from Cat’s Pajamas. I LOVE these stamps! They are so much fun, I totally don’t have enough of them! Hehehehehe!

ATC base is Basic Black and the top layer is Cool Caribbean. The color combo was really inspired by the stamp itself. I wanted to keep it a simple combo and it’s really fun to do Basic Black based projects once in a while.

The greeting, Ahoy there!, was stamped in Palette Noir Black. Skully was then stamped in Cool Caribbean, taking care to keep it close to the greeting.

Next, I created the shaker. Using my Marvy Scalloped Circle Punch I punched out the Basic Black piece then used my Coluzzle to cut out the middle. I then used my Coluzzle to cut out the layer of the transparency and the WW cardstock for the image. I adhered the transparency with Mono Multi to the Basic Black frame and let it dry.

For the image I used my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to color in Sprinkles in his Pirate Kitty image. Since we don’t have a Cool Caribbean marker, I used Amy R’s cool tip to load the color on to a blender pen and applied it to my image. I then stamped the image, being sure to “huff” on it first to re-moisten the image.

To complete the shaker, I cut some foam tape and adhered it to the back of the scalloped frame (I have a HUGE roll of this stuff that I got at my local scrapbook store a couple of years ago). Next, I used Taylor’s tip to fill it. I peeled off most of the backing on the foam tape, leaving some of it covered at the top so that it won’t stick to the cardstock with the image.

I then adhered the image to the scalloped frame and carefully spooned the microbeads thru the opening at the top. I love this tip because you can see how full your shaker is getting. Once I had the amount of beads I wanted in the shaker, I peeled off the remaining backing to the foam tape and sealed the shaker. I then adhered it to the ATC with Mono Multi.

My Owen loves kitties and things this is pretty cool. He’s the one who calls it “Captain Kitty” so that’s what I’m naming it! And now it’s time to go drool over the Cat’s Pajamas images!! They have a whole section just for pirate images!

  1. How darling! I’ve got a soft spot for anything Cat’s Pajamas and this is fabulous! I don’t have any pirate images, but they’re slated for my next shopping splurge. I keep hinting to my sweetie that I’d accept Cat’s Pajamas stamps in lieu of Valentine’s flowers! 🙂
