In other fun news, I got a call today from the local cake supply store. I had entered my Purple People Eater cupcakes in their cupcake contest last week. Despite the way the judging was run, I came in third place! Not too shabby for the late night sillies!

I was a little discouraged when I turned it in on Friday. The entrants for the contest were given until last Friday to turn in the cupcakes, but the judging was already going on all week and ended before my parents got there Saturday afternoon. There was even a “nice” old lady (customer) there who immediately told me that I was at a disadvantage because all “these other people” had already voted, as she was tapping the voting box. Thanks for the info, grandma!
